About Foundations
Foundations (set code FDN) is a Magic: The Gathering set published by Wizards of the Coast, released November 2024. Foundations is a special Magic: The Gathering set that establishes a long-term baseline for the game rather than a single plane-focused setting. It combines new cards with reprints such as Llanowar Elves, Day of Judgment and Sol Ring, alongside returning mechanics including flashback, making it a reference point for core staples and alternate treatments. This set is listed for reference in the TCG Calendar release archive.
